Solmar Foundation: 5 Best Moments Lived So Far In 2021

by Dinorah De Haro

Dear Members and Friends,

I usually write my messages with a cheerful smile on my face knowing that every written word will be an emissary of the joy I feel when sharing good news.

This time there is a smile on my lips too, but one that speaks about the nostalgia and sorrow in my heart, blended with the enormous honor of having known Mr. Francisco “Paco” Bulnes in person and bear witness of the magic he did when transmitting his passion for the work we do at Solmar Foundation; the same passion I was inspired by 10 years ago by Don Luis Bulnes and Doña Conchita.

From them, I learned that one of the missions of Solmar Foundation is to prove that goodness, generosity, and empathy are the forces that move mountains. I also learned that a smile is the greatest gift you can get in return for your efforts.

I will personally make sure this mission is preserved intact and the hard work kept impeccably by all of us at Solmar Foundation.

As you know, everything we are able to achieve is thanks to the help of our valued guests and members. When you donate to Solmar Foundation, 100% of your donation goes toward charity, having your donation matched dollar per dollar, as well as all the administrative expenses of Solmar Foundation covered by the developer.

And here, the good news. A short recap of the 5 most endearing moments, among hundreds of special and emotive ones lived so far in 2021.

Hope these smiles you have helped to bring, brighten your day as much as they do to ours.

1. We feel deeply thankful for having so many Members and friends who help us to bring help to others! The list is big and is getting bigger everytime,

2. We could not be more proud of the generous spirit of our community, who are looking for ways to support and extend their arms to be of help to those who have different opportunities. Such is the case of Jimmy Verrue, Erika Coatzin and Antonio Rodriguez who are the owners of the Apapuchi Colectivo, which offers a space for other entrepreneurs, artists and artisans to display their pieces.

3. Local businesses also join efforts, like Back To The Rack which contributed with  donations to many local civil organizations as well as Solmar Foundation.

4. And people like Leticia Ordaz, news anchor and Emmy’s nominated reporter who contacted us directly so she could read to children her new book written in Spanish. “The book of Mr. Macaw”.

5. Children’s smiles have the power to light up the world, so on Children’s Day, which is celebrated on April 30th in Mexico, we embarked on a journey spreading smiles and toys to the communities that we have the privilege to help firsthand.

  1. It warms my heart seeing all the good that you along with the Solmar Foundation do for the people of Cabo. When we are there the month of February we feel privileged to be able to help with Project Smiles and see how grateful the people are that receive a grocery bag. Their smiles tell a story that warms our hearts!
I always tell our friends back home how grateful the people of Cabo are for receiving so little bit give so much.
Thank you Dinora for all you do ❤️

    1. Dear Mrs. Ens. We feel so honored to count on such beautiful people like you to reach more and more people not only in our community, but also in places we wouldn’t be able to reach without your help. Thank you for spreading the word about our beautiful destination, and inspiring others with your example. Really hope to see you soon. With love, Dinorah.
